NIS America localizing Disgaea Infinite for North America

Disgaea Infinite is a visual novel, an entry in a genre whose popularity is mostly confined to Japan. Surprisingly enough, NIS America is bringing it to North America.

The company has announced plans to release the PSP title in North America this May. Since it stars Nippon Ichi’s more popular characters, it should serve as a nice entry point for gamers new to the genre.

Disgaea Infinite puts players in the role of a Prinny searching for an assassin who is trying to kill the demon lord Laharl. An undead penguin with a penchant for exploding may not sound like the best choice for a detective, but thankfully this one has a special clock that lets him possess other Disgaea characters to read their thoughts.
