Lima Sky may not be very well-known in the gaming space, but with this milestone, they’re getting the recognition they deserve. Today, the independent developer proudly announces that their highly addictive Doodle Jump has been downloaded three million times.
For months, Doodle Jump has been a regular on the App Store’s ten most downloaded games, finishing at #10 on the last report. In 2010 alone, the game has sold 1.6 million downloads. The game is played five million times a day, giving lots of truth its accompanying advisory, “BE WARNED: Insanely Addictive.”
Apple has included it in its “Best Games of 2009” shortlist. Touch Arcade called it “possibly the best iPhone game ever created,” while Wired included it in “Wired’s 20 Favorite iPhone Apps of 2009”.
“Selling over three million copies of Doodle Jump is beyond our wildest expectations,” shared Lima Sky president and founder, Igor Pusenjak. “We have to thank our incredible fanbase for their undying support, none of this would be possible without their help.”
Can’t get enough? Lima Sky will be lending Doodle Jump content to PressOK’s Finger Physics as a free update.
