Just while ago, the PS2’s price was cut. Nintendo is following that with a price cut for the GCN. A Best Buy employee confirmed that Best Buy is already printing its weekly flyer with a reduced price for next week. This would fall in line with earlier rumours. Exactly what it will drop to is unknown, but I wouldn’t bet against a $79.99 price point. Whether or not the price drop will help remains to be seen. There doesn’t seem to be much point in buying a GCN this late in its lifetime when the Wii will be completely backward-compatible.
