Yesterday, a rumor broke out regarding an alleged slim model for the Xbox 360. Today, this buzz is followed up by another item, more specifically pertaining to an E3 announcement. What’s more, Microsoft is also said to drop the Xbox 360 price again.
Someone close to Microsoft’s Entertainment and Devices Division claims that the price cut will happen some time this summer, and will finally put the Xbox 360 console at US$ 149. It appears that MS is looking to liquidate the remaining “fat” units so they can introduce the slimmer version, which is then said to enter the market at US$ 199. This price tag will further be marked down, however, supposedly as soon as the “fat” ones have been liquidated.
The E3 only happens to fall this summer as well, so it looks like there’s gonna be a double mega-announcement from the Microsoft camp. We’ll keep you posted on this.
