PSP Advisory: Neuros MPEG-4 Recorder 2 NOT Compatible With Firmware 2.7
Neuros Technology advised PSP owners not to upgrade to SonyÂ’s recently-released firmware 2.7 update if they are using Neuros’ MPEG-4 Recorder 2. The MPEG-4 Recorder 2 records analog video straight to the Memory Stick Pro Duo cards used by the PSP console.
“We donÂ’t think Sony did this on purpose, but, for now, PSPs with the upgraded firmware wonÂ’t play files recorded with the Recorder 2,” said the company. “A second result of this issue is that any files you may have recorded previously with the Recorder 2 would need to be converted to play on PSPs having the upgraded Version 2.7 firmware.” Neuros is currently working on a firmware upgrade for the MPEG-4 Recorder 2 to fix the problem. The fix will be available to users for free.
