Gameloft’s Near Orbit Vanguard Alliance (N.O.V.A.) is extending its reach far beyond its iPhone and iPad territories in search of new frontier on multiplatform consoles. This was revealed by Gameloft thru its VP of publishing, Gonzague de Vallois.
“It’s an idea we want to build cross-platform,” he said, “so you can expect to see it on new systems in the future.” Originally, N.O.V.A. was released on the iPhone last year, and recently, gave it a HD facelift specially for the iPad.
As for their plans on creating sequels for the first-person shooter:
“Nothing has been decided yetbut you can guess that our top successful titles that our fans loved will justify creating a new experience based on the same franchise.
That’s really in line with the strategy of creating brands. If you want to create brandds you have to keep it alive longterm by finding that right balance between how long you wait to create a new episode – do you have enough content and new features to justify creating a new episode?”
For now, you can get your hands on N.O.V.A. for your iPhone and iPad at the App Store. You can also check out how it plays on the iPad via the video below:
