The impressions are coming in. Jason Bradbury of The Gadget Show has tweeted what he thinks of Halo: Reach, and in not so many words, it’s “much more realistic than ODST.”

Said his Twitter status after getting his hands on the multiplayer beta at a press event earlier in the day, “Would say that Reach is much more earthy, realistic than ODST. Weapons v realistic, louder, more detail like Killzone 3.” Don’t know if that’s a typo with the Killzone 3 there, but, yeah, it most likely is.

Going back to Halo: Reach, anyway:

“Played Elite as well as Spartan. Elites are amazingly quick. Formidable… Played Generator Defence and Invasion game types. Both show the scale of the maps – and huge polygon count but no perceivable frame hit..

Would add that the Armour Abilities are genius.. ‘jet pack guy incoming!’ Sprint is in there. And vehicles add loads of action and humour.”

Sounds like he sure had a lot of fun with it! Halo: Reach‘s multiplayer beta launches officially on May 3rd, 2010, via Xbox live. Don’t forget, though, you need your Halo 3: ODST to get in.

Hope you’re ready for it.
