Square Enix releases Chaos Rings, puts their other App Store releases on sale
Square Enix is serious about making it big down at the App Store. How serious? Well, for one thing, they’ve now released Chaos Rings in the App Store, adding a much-needed RPG into the platform. For another, they put all their other App Store releases up on sale.

Right now, Chaos Rings is priced at US$ 12.99 and runs on all models of the iPhone, the iPod Touch, and yes, the iPad. The iPad version isn’t in HD, but the game producer Takehiro Ando might swing that way if the iPhone version does well.
For now, there’s the new RPG, and there’s a lot of discounted old ones:
- Crystal Defenders – $5.99
- Final Fantasy – $6.99
- Final Fantasy II – $6.99
- Final Fantasy XIII Larger-than-Life Gallery – $5.99
- Hills and Rivers Remain – $4.99
- Sliding Heroes – $0.99
- Song Summoner: The Unsung Heroes – Encore – $7.99
- Vanguard Storm – $3.99
