Buying PS3 games and electronics with stolen credit cards will get you 5 years
As the saying goes, crime doesn’t pay. But if you’re looking to live outside the law, you have to be a little smarter to actually pull it off. This man, well, wasn’t.
As the saying goes, crime doesn’t pay. But if you’re looking to live outside the law, you have to be a little smarter to actually pull it off. This man, well, wasn’t.
Back in January 2008, Rodelio Cataroja, Jr., stole four ladies’ purses. He may excel in the purse-pilfering department, but not in the spending part. Using the credit cards from the purses, he got himself a few TVs, cellphones, an iPod, and a number of PS3 games.
Unfortunately, he made all four separate transactions in the same Target store, drawing attention to himself and the accounts, leading to his arrest. Now, the sentence has been handed out, and he’ll be spending the next five years serving time…and maybe his cellmate.
