If you’ve had your share of zombie-apocalyptic flicks over the years, then chances are, you’re familiar with the work of George A. Romero. In case you didn’t know, he’s the mastermind behind zombie movies such as “Night of the Living Dead”, “Dawn of the Dead”, “Creepshow”, “Monkey Shines”, and “Diary of the Dead”. Now, it’s the App Store’s turn to get zombie-fied Romero style.

The app, called App of the Dead, was developed in conjunction with his latest project, “Survival of the Dead.” “Given the amount of zombies I’ve brought to life, I figured everyone should be able to do the same,” said George A. Romero.

App of the Dead allows you to turn your friends and relatives into customizable zombies. Yes, customizable zombies. You’ll have a gallery of bleeding wounds, regurgitated limbs, and many other undead deformities to choose from. Best of all, once you’re done zombie-fying your next door neighbor, the game allows you to put him to rest FPS-style.
