PS3 owners in Japan are enjoying a porn-on-demand service on their consoles thanks to DDM.tv. Vivid Entertainment was looking to do something similar for the US, but it appears you’ll have to stick to the old methods to get your private alone time.

Vivid approached Sony late last summer, proposing a porn channel for the PlayStation Network, where adult users can access and purchase premium content.

According to Vivid Entertainment founder Steve Hirsch, the negotiations with Sony “didn’t lead anywhere.” But they’re not giving up on the gaming arena – they’re thinking about flirting with Microsoft next. If we could get further than we did with Sony [on Xbox 360], we’d be very interested,” he said.
