Jaffe: Twisted Metal has been in the oven 18 months

David Jaffe’s been denying the new Twisted Metal for the past couple of months. He’s been so good at pulling the bluff that although we had a really strong hunch the rumors are true, we had no idea that the game has in fact been in development already for some 18 months.

David Jaffe’s been denying the new Twisted Metal for the past couple of months. He’s been so good at pulling the bluff that although we had a really strong hunch the rumors are true, we had no idea that the game has in fact been in development already for some 18 months.

That’s a full year and a half of production by Eat, Sleep, Play. This was revealed by Jaffe himself on Twitter, saying: “Oh I’d say about 18 months”. With that much production time under its belt, it gives some sense of comfort that the game will be coming out soon, and it will be coming out strong.

Twisted Metal will be hitting the PS3 exclusively in 2011.
