sonicCrazy Taxi and Sonic Adventure made their debut at E3 last week, and while nostalgia was high and thick in the air, there still was this noticeable element that pulled the games.

Sonic Adventure, for one, is only limited to display in 4:3, complete with vertical bars on each side of the widescreen display. Unfortunately, Sonic Adventure’s code couldn’t be tweaked to support widescreen, explained a Sega representative.

Meanwhile, Crazy Taxi had to refurbish some familiar elements in the game for some new ones. Pizza Hut, for example, had been replaced with generic stores, and the Offspring and Bad Religion soundtrack have also been replaced with.. well… generic ones that sound alike.

But despite those setbacks (if you want to call it that), these Sega revivals still should be a sure-fire hit, if only for the sheer nostalgia it brings along with it.
