Spectrobes for the DS – New Info and Screens

Spectrobes for the Nintendo DS was one of the Buena Vista Games presented during their pre-E3 press conference. This game with two junior Interplanetary Patrol Officers Rallen and Jeena will focus on these two officers’ adventure in finding the legendary Spectrobes that posses special powers. Jeena and Rallen will need these creatures in order to defeat the evil force known as Krawl who plans on destroying the galaxy.

This game will have real-time battle action mode where Rallen and two spectrobes can attack by combining their forces in order to take down Krawl. During excavation (players will have to do this to collect the spectrobes), players will also find other fossils and tools that they could use to find more spectrobes. While digging for these creatures, players can blow air into the microphone of the DS to help clear the dust off, and the stylus can be used for digging.

There are also training and customization modes. Freshly dug spectrobes will evolve into powerful and fully grown versions through training. Voice can be used to train and activate these creatures. The different virtual environments where players will train their spectrobes will affect the customized appearance and the abilities of the creatures when they evolve.

Exchanging spectrobes and items with other players will be possible via the wireless community. One-on-one battles can also be done via ad hoc wireless tournaments.
