Enslaved demo and DLC confirmed

Ninja Theory head honcho Tameem Antoniades has confirmed that Enslaved: Odyssey to the West will be getting a demo. Oh, and DLC too.

Antoniades explained to VG247 that the game needs a demo since it’s a new IP and “doesn’t have a pedigree”. No specific dates were mentioned but expect it to come out about a week or so before Enslaved‘s October 5 release.

As for the DLC, Antoniades says it will be a story separate from the game’s main plot so people don’t have to download it to fill in the gaps. “We want to be very clear that the story has a beginning, middle and end, so you don’t need to get the DLC to fill in the gaps,” he said.

Further post-launch support will depend on how well the first piece of DLC will be received. “We don’t have a plan as such yet, but if it does work – I don’t know much about the dynamics of the DLC business – but if it does work I will be keen to do more.”
