Apple Intelligence will continue to roll out new features with iOS 18 throughout the rest of 2024. However, Siri’s much-anticipated redesign will not be available until iOS 18.4 2025. Bloomberg confirms a previous report stating that the biggest improvements to Siri would be made in 2025. According to reports, the major Siri upgrade will be released for iOS 18.4. This release is already in the works. It is expected to be released in January 2025 as a beta for developers, and then publicly in the spring. Siri will have a new look before then. Apple has shown, for example, that Siri will now display a flare around iPhone’s screen instead of its current circle icon. ChatGPT integration will also be expected before the end 2024. iOS 18.4 will include features like a much deeper integration of Siri with iOS apps. Siri will be able to better understand commands and perform multiple steps. After asking about a team, the user can simply say “when are they playing next?” Siri will then add the event to your calendar. App intents are used in part to accomplish this. Developers can use this feature to show Siri specific features from their apps.
