phone 16’s fresh Get option: All we know
The iPhone 16 will reportedly receive a new “Capture” button this year. While the iPhone 15 Pro received the Action button last year, the entire iPhone 16 line is expected to get the button. This will allow users to quickly snap photos with their iPhone 16 camera. There are also a few additional bonuses. The Capture button is reportedly coming to the entire iPhone 16 line. According to multiple CAD drawings and dummy phones, the iPhone 16 Capture button will appear on the right-hand side of the phone. It will be located in the same place as the mmWave antenna is currently in the United States. The Capture button is going to be mechanical, which means that it will physically press in and out. However, The Information reported that the surface will be touch-sensitive. iPhone 16 users are reportedly able to swipe left or right on the Capture surface to zoom in or out. The Information says users will also be able “to bring images into focus by lightly pressing the button and activate the shutter button by pressing more strongly on the button.” I wasn’t sold on a dedicated “Capture” button when it was rumored to be for the iPhone 16 at first. The rumors about the swipe gestures make it sound much more useful. In some ways, I am reminded of the iPhone Smart Battery Case with its built-in camera button.
