Apple released a new update on Friday to its fourth beta developer for iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 The build numbers for both devices were previously 22A5316j, but are now 22A5316K. Apple hasn’t said what this update is about, but it’s probably a bug fix or a security update that can’t wait until the next expected update. Apple released the update initially on Tuesday. Along with it, there were updates for iPadOS 18 tvOS 18 watchOS 11 and visionOS 2. AppleInsider recommends that users do not install beta or RC versions of software or test operating systems on “mission critical” or primary devices. There is a small risk that data could be lost. Testers should use secondary or non essential hardware and always ensure that they have enough backups of critical data.
