The iPhone and iPad are now able to use Computer consoles without restriction.

Emulator on iPhone: An example
Apple updated its App Review guidelines to allow PC emulators offer downloads of PC games. This could improve the emulation situation in the App Store. Apple has been allowing emulators in the App Store for three months now. There have been many emulators added to the App Store, but another set of rules could allow for even more to be compatible with the iPhone and iPad. Apple’s Developer website informed users that the update on August 1 affects the 4.7 section in the App Review Guidelines. This section deals with streaming games, game emulators and other elements. The new language specifies “retro console and PC emulator apps may offer to download games.” This option was previously not available for PC emulators, but now it is. Other changes include the fact that app Notarization now requires that certain points be met, namely 4.7, 4.7.2, and 4.7.3. It means that emulators will also need to follow these rules in order to be notarized in order to be included in a third party app storefront within the European Union. This change is good news for PC emulator developers. Apple finally allowed UTM SE to be included in the App Store back in July, after much wrangling. The new rules should allow for more apps to be submitted and added to the digital storefront.
