The iPad Mini could be replaced with a foldable iPad
Last updated 9 hours agoAnother expert has predicted that Apple will launch foldable devices in the year 2026. The analyst claims that Apple plans to launch two items that year. Rumors are circulating about Apple’s fabled, flexible smartphone, the iPhone Fold. The rumor mill believes that the hardware will be released in 2026. An analyst has confirmed the release date, but also said that there will be something else on sale. According to Jeff Pu, an analyst at Haitong Securities, via BGR: Apple will release foldable devices by 2026. This is in line with other rumors regarding the iPhone Fold timeline. However, it will not be the only one. Apple could release a foldable iPad along with the iPhone Fold in the second half 2026, according to Pu. Pu believes display durability issues have delayed its development and release. Rumors of a folding iPad have been around almost as long as those of the iPhone Fold. It would offer the same concept, but in a larger format. In February, rumors suggested that the device could be 7-inch or even 8-inch and replace the iPad mini. There have been hints of larger foldable screens up to 20 inches in development. Pu, who is also a proponent of flexible devices, also mentions the iPhone 17 Slim. This thinner version of iPhone could replace the Plus. This model, along with Apple Intelligence developments, is expected to drive sales for the 2025 device generation.
