In Monster Jam Showdown, choose your job path.

Hello to all those who enjoy Monster Jam! The most action-packed sports function on four wheels will soon be available on PlayStation in a completely different form, we’re sure you’ve been waiting for a while. Federico Spada, the Monster Jam Showdown Game Director, is here to ease the pain by showing you the job function in our single-player campaign, the Showdown Tour. With over 130 events combining speed and skill, the Showdown Tour will serve as your main focus throughout your trip. This range has always been a crucial component of design from the beginning. Working on a game using Monster Jam trucks is very different from working on a driving title with a unique control that expands the scope of the game beyond just racing. Our goal when developing the Showdown Tour was to use this originality to create the best possible games experience while enhancing each player’s strengths. In order to accomplish that, we created a sandbox-like pattern where you can enjoy the activities you like without a set schedule.
You’ll compete in 8 distinct game methods and discover 3 unique environmentsTo pleasant different playstyles, we grouped the events into three categories: Prank, Short, and Racing. You can uncover new events that fall under the same type as the one you just played once more. You’ll always be able to get new challenges that match your preferences, but you’ll also experience plenty of variety because events in the same group will feature a variety of sport modes and take place in all three of our unique settings. Interestingly, the Showdown Tour’s areas are unusual and wild, making them the ideal setting to test your Dragon Jam trucks beyond what you can see in live events. Whether it’s a venue, an open-air area, or an actual circuits, the culture will put those electrical beasts to the check, from the glaciers of Alaska to the blistering desert of Death Valley and the forests of Colorado. You can race these undeveloped landscapes right away in the first few minutes of play by following a map with all the events that may eventually appear as you progress, using our free-progression system. For example, you may discover a new Swimming challenge in another area of the image as well as a different game function, such as a Best Trick match, after completing a Free event in Colorado.
You may win medals that will give you exposure to Showdown Events, which are unique challenges that unlock higher-difficulty competitions within the same group. Showdown Events are incredible director battles that activate new Monster Jam trucks and paint outs. In Showdown Events, you will have to show that you are the respectable owner of some of the most recognizable Monster Jam trucks by defeating their previous driver. If you succeed, you will take that truck as its official driver and add it to your collection. However, beware: Showdown Events are more than just simple 1v1 races. To win, you must first place, and you must also win over the crowd by making a spectacular run. In these races, the layout of the circuits changes at each lap, and you’ll discover even more destructible objects or bigger ramps to increase your speed. You are entirely free to choose whether to play the most challenging events or to put yourself to the test in a different way in order to advance within the same category. You’ll unlock the associated trucks and maximize your skills in one of your favorite game modes. However, to fully complete your career and collect all 66 vehicles * and over 140 paint outs, you’ll have to master all categories. Both kids and adults are bound to give everything, including keeping one of the Monster Jam trucks in their private collections.
The Monster Jam competition can be compared to the Showdown Tour. This championship, which expands the action of real-life Monster Jam events, pushes both vehicles and drivers to the limits. You will triumph over the best trucks on the planet by defeating the best trucks possible, becoming the ultimate Champion of the most difficult Monster Jam competition to date. If you do believe you have what it takes, prepare to launch your career with Monster Jam Showdown, which will be available on PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 starting August 29, 2024, with Early Access starting August 26, 2024.
*40 trucks will be in the base game, and 26 will be accessible via free or premium DLC.
