Head shaking and improved sound isolation are among the new AirPods Pro firmware’s.
AirPods Pro 2 gets new features in iOS 18.
AirPods Pro 2 Software version 3.0 developer beta is now available to those who want to test out new features. Apple offers developer betas for almost all of its platforms. This includes AirPods. AirPods firmware updates aren’t as frequent as other beta updates, but developers need to test before the public release. The third beta brings AirPods Pro 2 build version 7A266c. This beta will only be released for AirPods Pro 2 and not for AirPods Max, or any other non-H2 devices. Apple released features during WWDC including the new head-shaking yes or no for Siri. Also included are the improved noise isolation, personalized spatial audio and gaming. Apple makes it easy to download and update beta versions of iOS and macOS. However, this is not the case with AirPods firmware. To begin, you will need to create a free developer account. If you need help, you can watch the video. You may find that the Developer Mode does not appear as required. In this case, you will need to connect the iPhone with a Mac running Xcode beta.
