Epic Games has submitted Fortnite and the Epic Games Store for notarization to Apple, as one of the final steps Epic must take to launch their iOS storefront in Europe. Epic Games is very close to achieving its goal of opening its App Store competitor in Europe. Epic Games is now working on the last elements to make its dream a reality. Epic announced on Monday that it had submitted a number to Apple for a “final notarization.” Epic Games Store is included in the list of apps. This is the company’s attempt to create a digital storefront for third parties. It also submitted two of its titles for notarization. Fortnite, which sparked Epic’s legal drama over payment method changes, comes with Rocket League Sideswipe – a version of the car-soccer title. Epic’s announcement asks its followers to “Stay Tuned for the Launch of the Epic Games Store in Europe Soon.” Notarizing the Epic Games Store wasn’t a smooth process for all parties. Apple reportedly objected to the button designs in the Epic Games Store app. Epic claimed that Apple was slowing down the notarization of the Epic Games Store. Apple approved the Epic Games Store after the public complaint. Apple said that it would allow the buttons to slide for this submission, but Epic must fix the buttons for future submissions. Epic will offer Fortnite and Rocket League through its Epic Games Store. However, this won’t be your only option to play these games. Epic also plans to distribute Fortnite through other storefronts including AltStore.
