phone 17 portfolio expected to boost revenue with’ Slim ‘ model, camera improvements, and more

The iPhone 16 is expected to be announced in a month, but rumors indicate that the models will not offer significant upgrades over the iPhone 15 lineup. Analyst Jeff Pu reiterates his expectations for the iPhone 16 and iPhone 17 in a note sent to investors, seen by 9to5Mac. The analyst says that this year’s iPhones are expected to have “limited specs upgrades,” with the 16 Pro Max and 16 Pro Max models having slightly larger displays.

The iPhone 17 Pro Max has a narrower Dynamic Island.

Jeff Pu also believes that there are two other factors that will help Apple increase iPhone sales in 2025 or 2026. First, he notes that iPhone 12 users will want to replace their phones soon. The iPhone 12 was a supercycle because of major upgrades like a new design and 5G. MagSafe was also added. The iPhone 12 is showing signs of age and owners will want to upgrade to the iPhone 17 Air or iPhone 17 Slim next year. This new iPhone 17 is expected to have a much slimmer design. Jeff Pu believes there will be many people interested in purchasing an iPhone 17 Slim due to the novelty factor. Apple has more than a full year before announcing the iPhone 17.
