Persona 3 Install Episode Aigis: The Answer launches Sept 10 – hands-on record

You’ve spent lots of time in Tartarus, you’ve maxed out many cultural references, and you’ve eventually conquered all of the problems Persona 3 Reload has to offer–or but you thought. In the future Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis DLC coming to PS5 and PS4 on September 10, you’ll join a new friend, experience a new invasion of threats, and link up many of the free ends of the account. Aigis, an iphone who has come to understand human emotion and lost, is at the center of it all. You ended a memorable school year in Persona 3 Install by putting the essence of death to rest and by paying a lot of money. Then it’s March 31st, a few weeks post-graduation time, and all of the original S. E. E. S. people are getting ready to pack their bags and leave the bedroom for good. Aigis, an android, reveals at the low-key but melancholy good dinner gathering that she is returning to the laboratory that built her.
But as soon as the clock strikes evening, the morning starts over. It is discovered that no one can keep the bedroom. And finally, a strange perpetrator strikes the remaining S. E. E. S. group out of nowhere…
The unusual assailant turns out to be another iphone named Metis, and she appears to be of a similar body type to Aigis. But related, in truth, that she’s claiming she’s Aigis ‘ girl. She even makes it clear that she is very attached to and watchful of her” sibling”— in reality, that’s why she attacked the bedroom: to defend Aigis.
Aigis has been having her own peculiar happenings recently, which were capped off by a trip to the famed Velvet Room after retaliating Metis’s first attack. When she wakes up back in the bedroom, she’s got fresh weapons, a new Persona, and a huge problem in the form of a mixture time loop, barrier from the outside, and great mystery door in the dorm’s floor.
These ominous doors lead into the Abyss of Time, the source of all these bizarre events. The Desert of Doors is the first stop, which has a name that resembles the name itself. Who was the strange person who was spotted opening one of the doors? Only one way to find out: make a party and make chase.
Episode Aigis places the heroic android at the center of the plot. She assumes the lead role quickly, taking center stage on the title and status screen, and eases up the Persona-changing power of the Wild Card herself. Although she wo n’t be able to go out and do things or forge Social Links, she will still have plenty of story and character development to focus on throughout the DLC’s roughly 30-hour runtime as Aigis and the S. E. E. members deal with the emotional baggage their initial adventure left behind.
After playing through Persona 3 Reload, you are probably familiar with the flow and feel of the game’s dungeons, and Episode Aigis continues to build on that foundation. Unlike the original protagonist, Aigis wields firepower as her weapon, making her method of getting the jump on enemies different: she’ll try to snipe them at a distance before they fully realize her presence. Unfortunately, gunfire is quite loud, so if there are several enemies in a small area her bullets may alert them to the party’s presence.
Aigis can use synergistic Persona Theurgies as well as gather and change Personas freely ( in combat, you are still only allowed to one swap per turn ). Because the rest of S. E. E. S. ‘ members have n’t been in combat recently, they are a smidge rusty, so their levels and stats do n’t quite match up to where they were at the end of P3R’s story.
Metis assumes some of the party roles Aigis previously held, including the use of the unique Orgia mode, which grants her combat benefits while stunning her when the boost expires. Metis’s Persona, Psyche, wields ice and physical skills, making her a strong offensive companion.
We had only the option to play through one of the DLC dungeons during our session, which was about 8 floors long, and battled the fierce shadow that was perched at the bottom. However, as Aigis and her friends reappear in the Desert of Doors, it became abundantly clear that the team still had a lot of challenges to overcome as well as some very big mysteries to solve. Persona 3 Reload: Episode Aigis will be available to experience September 10 on PS5 and PS4. That’s not far off, so hold tight–all of your questions will be given the answers you seek.
