Customers can now extend AppleCare + up to 45 days after it expires

Apple has increased the number days that a customer may extend AppleCare+ to 45 from 30. AppleCare+ plans are now extendable up to 45-days after their expiration in Australia, Austria Canada, Denmark Finland, France Germany Ireland, Italy, Japan the Netherlands, New Zealand Norway, Spain Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. AppleCare+’s coverage document, spotted first by MacRumors, states that coverage can be extended for 24 or 36 months or on a monthly basis or annually until cancelled. On your iPhone or iPad, you can check the expiration date of your AppleCare+ by going to Settings > General> About > Coverage. On Mac, click on the Apple Menu and then go to System Settings > System > About.
