In February 2025, the next installment in Sid Meier’s Civilization series will be available on macOS. This turn-based strategy game will bring another title to Mac. Civ VII is a turn based strategy game that was developed by Firaxis Games, and published by 2K. It will be released on Mac, Windows and SteamOS/Linux in 2025. Civ VII lets players build cities and architectural elements, expand territory, improve their civilisation with technological advancements, and conquer or collaborate with rival civilizations. The developers have also shared a gameplay trailer on YouTube in addition to announcing a release date. The game features a solo experience that is immersive, as well as cross-platform online multiplayer. In the Antiquity & Exploration Ages you can play with up to five players, and in the Modern Age, you can play with up to eight. There is no information on the system requirements. The basic edition is available for preorder on Steam now for $69.99. The Deluxe edition costs $99.99 and the Founders Edition is $129.99. The Deluxe Edition gives players access to the game in advance on February 6, 2025. The Deluxe Edition also includes the Tecumseh & Shawnee Pack and the Crossroads of the World Collection. Post-launch content features two new leaders, new civilizations, new wonders, and a special cosmetic reward. The Founder Edition also includes additional content, including two leader personas and four profile customizations. It also comes with an alternate scout’s skin.
