Apple’s seventh designer alpha for its fall releases is no longer available for testing.

Apple releases new betas for iOS 18 developers and the rest
Apple has released the eighth round for iOS 18, iPadOS 18 tvOS 18 macOS Sequoia and visionOS 2 as the public release is fast approaching. The eighth round follows the seventh which was released on August 20 and the sixth on August 12. The fifth round was released on August 5, and the fourth round on July 23. However, Apple did release a minor update for the iOS 18/iPadOS 18 builds on the 26th of July. This group includes betas for iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and tvOS 18. MacOS Sequoia is also included, as well as visionOS 2. There have been seven watchOS 11 betas released so far but they didn’t make it into the main group this time. It’s possible that a new build will be released later. Apple runs multiple beta tracks for developers at the same moment. Apple is also testing iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18,1 and macOS Sequoia 15,1 primarily to introduce Apple Intelligence. The build number for the eighth developer betas is 22A5350a. This replaces 22A5346a. Apple’s eighth build number for tvOS 18, up from 22J5353a, is 22J5356a. The eighth macOS Sequoia Beta is build number 24A5331b and replaces 24A5327a. The eighth visionOS developer beta, build 22N5318a replaces the sixth, 22N5314a. After the release the seventh beta it was reported that iOS 18 was as feature-complete as possible for the release for all iPhones currently available that will receive the upgrade. Any subsequent updates are likely to include bug fixes and performance enhancements for current devices, as well as work on perfecting features based off the iPhone 16 generation hardware. Apple was putting the finishing touches on iOS 18 in the sixth beta round. The beta round included some refinements in icon tinting, dark mode interfaces and a new Bluetooth switch in Control Center. Safari’s Distraction Control feature, which allows users to remove unwanted webpage elements, was introduced in the fifth round. The Carousel View has been removed from Photos. AppleInsider Marko Zivkovic was the first to discover the new Sequoia Sunrise Wallpaper in the macOS Sonoma Beta. The fourth iOS 18 beta included a few Control Center updates, refinements to the flashlight controls and new CarPlay wallpapers. Apple confirmed that the second beta included iPhone Screen Mirroring and SharePlay upgrades. Apple confirmed the news in response to reports that it might not offer Apple Intelligence or other major operating system features to European Union due to Digital Markets Act requirements for interoperability. AppleInsider recommends that users do not install beta or RC versions of software or test operating systems on “mission critical” or primary devices. There is a small chance that data could be lost. Instead, testers should use secondary or non essential hardware and make sure they have enough backups of critical data. You can find any changes in these new builds.
