Although I didn’t have any power issues during my test use, but the UPS proved to be great assurance, which is mostly what you’re paying for. The UPS is able to hold its own if there’s an outage or if you unplug it. The UPS will notify you immediately if there is a power issue by beeping in increments. It will also use the battery to keep all devices powered. The UPS took about an hour and 30 minutes to reach half battery with two monitors, USB dock, and PC connected. This UPS does not have a muted button, so you may have to endure the beeping noise for a long time. The UPS is quite large compared to regular power strips, but it can fit under most desks. The UPS was hotter, but it had fans to dissipate the heat. It never got hot to the touch even when using a battery. Goldenmate 800W – Nothing fancy and not much wrong with this 800W UPS. It is a simple device that still provides good surge and outage protection for those who are looking for a more casual solution. The only thing I have to complain about is the lack of a mute button. It does, however, do everything it’s supposed to. This UPS is a great choice if you’re looking for extra protection with your home electronics. It costs less than $200.
