Auto Assault: Public Test Server
NCSoft has will soon launch a new public server to test some new game content for Auto Assault before it goes to live servers. Players on the PTS get the first shot at the new updates. In order to catch bugs on the build before promoting it out to the live servers, the PTS will remain online for the next seven days, although the server may go down periodically for maintenance.
Participating players will need to make all new characters (although this process is may change in the future). Anyone with an active Auto Assault subscription may participate in the PTS, but as this is beta testing, don’t expect much in the way of tech support as you get with live shards. NCSoft advises gamers to play at their own risk. At the moment, European gamers will not be able to access the PTS.
In order to participate, players will need to download and run a separate PTS installer that will create a separate version of the game. They can then connect to the PTS through a new shortcut created on the Desktop. NCSoft will release the location of the PTS installer when it becomes available, and instructs players NOT to uninstall the current version of the game.
Remember that PTS version and the normal live version are independent of each other – two separate games, actually. In order to participate in both the live server and the PTS, players must have both versions installed.
