A look at Condemned 2: Bloodshot’s Ethan Thomas
Okay, we’ve given you a bit of info before about Sega‘s Condemned 2: Bloodshot, and we did say we’ll update you folks about that game. So as promised, here’s a few more on the first-person thriller. In Condemned 2, you play as Ethan Thomas, former Serial Crimes Unit investigator. You’ve been called in to track down your missing partner.
There’s supposed to be this big conspiracy, and you’re supposed to go all emo (this means that he has a dark and tragic past) with the sad, sad mister Thomas while you you unravel “the mysteries shrouding the city in darkness.”
Odd that this game allows you to solve a mystery using a set of high-tech offensive tools, and at the same time engage in “visceral combat” that allows you use offensive combo chains, grapples, and holds. It seems that the point of this is that you have the choice to either use brute strength or wits to solve the mysteries thrown in your direction.
The multiplayer portion of the game promises to deliver to players “the most brutal hand-to-hand combat experience the first person genre has ever seen” …whatever that means. Anyhow, we’ll leave you with a third person look at the character you will be using in this first person experience. Feel free to click on the thumbnail to the right.
The game is set to be released early 2008 for the PlayStation 3 and the Xbox 360.
