A look at Gurumin’s cast
Thanks to the magical powers of the internet (and the people at Siliconera.com), we have some more info on the many characters that populate the world of Mastiff LLC‘s upcoming PSP title Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure. As an added bonus, I won’t mention the word “drill” twice. Here we go.
Let’s lead things off with Parin, the game’s heroine. Due to her parents’ line of work, she has moved a lot, making it difficult for her to make friends. Despite that, this 12-year-old is cheerful and easy going. Strong-willed, enthusiastic, and never one to back down from a fight, Parin loves strawberry shortcake, especially the ones sold in town.

SheÂ’s a kind hearted girl, but is blessed with absolutely no sense of direction. In the Monster Village, she is loved and protected by all of her friends.
Pino’s brother Paku is calm and level-headed. In the Monster Village, Paku is looked up to and is treated almost like a leader. Throughout the adventure, he acts as a helpful advisor to Parin.
Poko is another resident if the Monster Village. He loves to dance and is a bit of a troublemaker, but has mastered the art of pretending to be innocent. Lately, heÂ’s developed a fondness for strawberry shortcake, and has started making frequent trips to the human town.
Motoro is a mysterious and shy creature that seems to follow Parin around on her adventures. Unfortunately, every time Parin confronts him, he runs for the hills. What is he hiding? (Personally, I think he’s the missing half-brother of that cat-like creature in Azumanga Daioh. But that’s just me.)
And finally we come to the Prince. A master of many weapons and armed with a sharp mind, the Prince of the Phantoms commands the Phantom generals that challenge Parin and her friends. He masterminded the wrecking of Monster Village and the spread of darkness throughout the land, but no one knows exactly what his aims are.
