A look at some planets and games in Fuzion Frenzy 2
Hudson Soft‘s Fuzion Frenzy 2, a collection of over 40 futuristic mini-games, promises to bring gamers the ultimate party game experience on the Xbox 360. With futuristic arcade action, custom tournaments, Xbox Live features and more, gamers, their friends, and even their whole families will have a hell of a time with this title.
In the Fuzion Frenzy 2 world, Fuzion Frenzy used to be the most popular tournament on Earth, but the players’ extreme competitiveness and their influence on the general population led to its banning by the leaders of Earth. That was four years ago, and now the Earth’s leaders are struggling with overpopulation. To combat it, they’ve come up with a plan to encourage immigration to space, and in order to do so they’ve brought back the Fuzion Frenzy tournament as well as the tournament’s six most famous players.
This time, they have set up game zones on various other planets, and today we’re going to take a look at a pair of those planetary tournament stages as well as the games that will be played there.
First up is the gambling planet, Amuseth. A gambler’s paradise, Planet Amuseth is blanketed in shimmering displays and spectacular attractions bright enough to be seen from outer space. In this planet, players will play through games with a decidedly casino-like flavor. Here’s a peek at what awaits in Planet Amuseth:

First up is the gambling planet, Amuseth. A gambler’s paradise, Planet Amuseth is blanketed in shimmering displays and spectacular attractions bright enough to be seen from outer space. In this planet, players will play through games with a decidedly casino-like flavor. Here’s a peek at what awaits in Planet Amuseth:
- Hot Shot – In Hot Shot, players score points by knocking balls of their corresponding color off the stage. Players can turn the balls into their own colors by kicking them, so if an opponent manages to hit one of your balls it’ll turn into your opponents color.
- Pinball Battle – It’s Pinball time, only instead of standing over a Pinball machine and trying to maneuver a steel ball through the obstacles, you’re inside the machine itself. Weave around the enclosed stage dodging giant balls bouncing everywhere. As time passes, the number of balls increases and they become harder to dodge.
- Kaleidoscope Survival – In this crazy race, players will have to speed through a tube-shaped course, grabbing capsules that damage the walls along the way. The more capsules you pick up, the more sections of the wall are destroyed, allowing you to zoom right on through. be careful, though – crashing against the wall decreases your HP, and only the last player still zooming along the course will win.
- Cash Clash – In Cash Clash, a giant spinning roulette wheel displays players’ numbers. When the wheel stops on a player’s number, he or she will receive a hammer. Once a player gets the hammer, he or she can then start bashing the others. Those hit by the hammer will drop coins that are worth points. The player with the most points after time runs out wins.
Next up is the watery planet Moisture. With 99 percent of Moisture’s surface covered by water, players will engage each other in all kinds of aquatic events. Under all this water are the remains of a once-great civilization, and these ancient ruins are the only remaining evidence of what life was like on Planet Moisture before the sea levels rose dramatically. Check out the images below to see what Planet Moisture has in store for players.
- Don’t Sink The Boat – Stationed in stationary floating turrets equipped with high-pressure water pumps, players must pump water out of their own turrets and use the water to spray and sink their enemies in this game. The player who manages to stay afloat after everybody else is in the water wins.
- Hopping No Stopping – In this game, players will compete against each other on automated jumping machines. The trick is to hop from one sea creature to another (as many as you can) as they poke their heads out of the water. Be careful of the hungry ones though – landing in the open mouth of a sea creature is definitely not a pleasant experience.
- Over The Falls – Amid the noise of a raging waterfall, players must make their way across a series of floating boards that move downstream towards them. Each board will display A, B, X, or Y, and you must leap to the next board by pressing the appropriate button. Be aware of proper timing – if you’re too late, you’ll get swept over the falls.
- <Underwater Rumble – Just as the name suggests, this game pits the players against each other in an underwater free-for-all battle. Duke it out in slow motion on the ocean floor, and don’t ever forget to check your air supply because running out of air will cause damage. Players can replenish their air supply by swimming through the rising bubbles.
