Accessories for Viva Pinata on Live
Well, that was quick. Downloadable content for Viva Pinata in less than 48 hours?
The microtransaction frenzy is back in full force as Mr. Hryb, Major Nelson to mere mortals, announced the first piece of DLC for Rare’s “violence-filled Pinata sex simulator” (some aghast lawyer’s words perhaps? Just kidding). Dubbed the Accessory Pack 1, purchasing it will give you the chance to get your paper creations looking like characters from one of Rare’s earlier games: Jet Force Gemini.
For 90 points, the accessory pack will get you Vela’s Wig and Juno’s helmet, which can be picked up from the paper pets in your little world. Of course, the accessories won’t fit all the pinatas, so experiment on which pinatas deserve a helmet or not.
Why so soon, and why this price? Only Microsoft and Rare Ltd. will really know. The only things we’d like to see as downloadable content for this game are downloadable voice replacements to have the horse-donkey pinata sound like Eddie Murphy, and maybe pinata versions of Bill Gates that always get aggro from alien baddies.
