Activision announces March DLC for Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock - Image 1Tired of playing the same old songs in Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PC)? Activision has announced two new downloadable song packs for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions.

The first pack, which is already available the on Xbox Live and will be available later on the PlayStation Store, is the Modern Metal pack. The song pack includes Deftones’ Hole in the Earth, Avenged SevenfoldÂ’s Almost Easy and ThriceÂ’s The Arsonist.

The second pack Activision plans on releasing by mid March is from the Celtic punk band Dropkick Murphys. The song pack will include master recordings of Famous for Nothing, (F)lanniganÂ’s Ball, and Johnny, I Hardly Knew Ya.

According to Activision, the Dropkick Murphys pack will be offered for free in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. That’s a pretty generous move from the company which is bound to please the fans of the game.
