Activision: Blizzard working on Diablo “sequels”

Blizzard is apparently “currently developing” not only Diablo 3 but other games in the franchise as well. That’s what an SEC filing from Activision says, anyway.

Blizzard is apparently “currently developing” not only Diablo 3 but other games in the franchise as well. That’s what an SEC filing from Activision says, anyway. Says the filing:

Blizzard is currently developing new games, including a new expansion pack to the ‘World of Warcraft‘ franchise, ‘Cataclysm,’ ‘StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty,’ which will be released with the new and improved Battle.net, and sequels to the ‘Diablo’ franchise.

While these may just be expansions for Diablo 3, it’s worth noting that the Diablo games are referred to as “sequels” and WoW: Cataclysm is outright called an expansion.
