Activision raises forecasts Q3 and 2008 fiscal year
Due to a highly successful holiday lineup – including Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare – Activision has raised its third quarter outlook and its 2008 fiscal year forescasts.
From a net revenue of US$ 2.07 billion they’ve raised their 2008 fiscal year projection to US$ 2.3 billion. That’s a whopping additional US$ 230,000,000. Lotsa zeroes there. Activision was also recently ranked top publisher for October by the NPD Group.
Activision, which was already ranked top publisher for October by the NPD, has raised its third quarter outlook and its 2008 fiscal year forecasts due to a highly successful holiday lineup which includes the celebrated Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare (Xbox 360, PS3, PC).
From a net revenue of US$ 2.07 billion they’ve raised their 2008 fiscal year outlook to US$ 2.3 billion. That’s a whopping additional US$ 230,000,000. Lotsa zeroes there. They’ve also raised their share outlook from US$ 0.55 (per diluted share) to US$ 0.75.
Activision also raised their third quarter earnings from US$ 1.05 billion to US$ 1.225 billion. Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii, PC) recently dominated the software charts and is one of the major factors for Activision raising its forecasts.
