Casting director says Star Wars: Battlefront 3 is still alive
I just watched “Fanboys” earlier so I’m a bit stuck on Star Wars today. Anyway, I know that a few of you were a bit miffed when Force Unleashed II was announced instead of Battlefront 3 at the Spike Video Game Awards. Don’t worry. It seems LucasArts isn’t letting Battlefront 3 get exiled to the back burner forever.

Fansite Battlefront3.net reports that according to casting director Chris Marazzo, Star Wars: Battlefront 3 is still in development. Marazzo has apparently recently done some casting work for the game, as noted in his personal website. Here’s Marazzo’s response to the fansite’s BF3 question:
The Original Title was Battlefront 3 but it evolved into Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. However Battlefront 3 is also in development. It was by far the Most Fun and Coolest Casting I ever worked on.
It’s not official so I’m slapping the rumor tag on this, but there you go. Battlefront 3 is still alive. On a related note, GameStop Canada has the game listed for PC, PS3, PS2, and Xbox 360. Retailer listings aren’t really 100% accurate, but it’s something.
