Advent Children Theatrical Debut Details

As first reported a few weeks back during the late July Square Enix party, Square Enix will be bringing Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children to Japanese theaters for a limited time prior to the CG film’s 9/14 DVD and UMD release. Today, the company announced final details on the film’s theatrical debut.
Advent Children will make its premier at the well-known Virgin Toho Cinemas in Tokyo’s Roppongi Hills retail/business facility on September 8th. Following a greeting, the film will be shown in full form. This particular theater is known in videogame circles as the unveiling point for Final Fantasy XII and Xbox 360.
Following the debut, the theatrical life of Advent Children will continue from 9/10 to 9/16 at the Roppongi Hills theater and a theater in Nagoya and Kyoto.
Those hoping to attend these limited showings will need to sign up at the Shinra Company website. You’ll have to be a member of the site in order to qualify for the showing. Don’t act so fast, though, as the site has stopped taking new memberships, so only those who’ve been supporting the FFVII project from the start will get a chance at seeing Advent Children on the big screen.
The other off-and-on FFVII fans will want to pick up Advent Children on UMD/DVD on 9/14.
