Aerosmith songs are now Guitar Hero exclusive
Looking forward for more Aerosmith tracks to become available as Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii) downloadable content? Well, you may be disappointed to know that this won’t be happening anytime soon. For more on this, head on over to the full article.
Gamers patiently waiting for more Aerosmith hits to become available for Rock Band (Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, Wii) will be disappointed to know that the band’s songs will be exclusive to Guitar Hero franchise, specifically Guitar Hero: Aerosmith (Xbox 360, PS3, Wii), for an unspecified amount of time.
We know you’re probably wondering about the one song from the band, Train Kept a Rollin’, that made it to Rock Band‘s list of tracks. It seems that this song was licensed before the band signed the exclusivity deal, as an Activision representative explained:
I can say that we do have the band exclusively, and their catalogue should be exclusive to us beyond the one or two tracks they had licensed out to Rock Band before we made our deal.
This pretty much means that gamers won’t be belting out “Dude looks like a lady” on Rock Band in the foreseeable future. It may also mean that video game licensing may soon be expanding its reach to bands as well, and not just the usual movie or sports league licensing.
