Remedy Entertainment has expounded on their earlier statements about focusing on Xbox 360 development for their psychological action thriller Alan Wake, and unfortunately for PC gamers, it’s bad news.
A spokesman from Remedy has told Digital Spy that the game’s PC version has been shelved indefinitely. The devs themselves want to be able to put out a PC version, but the final decision is up to Microsoft.
“Our PC plans are currently open [and] therefore a joint PC/Xbox launch is not possible at this late stage,” said the rep. “Remedy has a deep heritage in PC gaming and we would love to see a PC version available for our PC followers. Ultimately, however, this is a decision that lies with our publisher.”
