Time for some fun facts! Did you know that the PSP Gran Turismo was supposed to have a different moniker? Yep, they actually considered calling it “Gran Turismo Spyder”, revealed Polyphony Digital‘s prez, Kazunori Yamauchi.
So why didn’t they go with that one? Sounds might cool than just plain “Gran Turismo”, yes? That’s because he said he didn’t want the game to give the impression that the PSP GT title is anything less than a “fully-specced Gran Turismo.”
And that’s it for today’s fun facts. Speaking of Yamauchi, I suddenly remembered his now-famed translator. No offense to the game, it did look great and all, but he just stole the show.
