Announcing Nyko’s Wiimote classic controller grip
Remember the Wiimote classic controller mod that popped up a few days ago? We’re talking about the theorized uses for the controller’s mystery third shoulder button, which amounted to a very interesting but doable mount. Now, with that image still fresh in our minds, we introduce you to Nyko‘s new wiimote accessory combo. Think Deja Vu (the mod’s on the left):
Yup, Nyko – you may remember them most for the 360’s Intercooler – has patented the said device and then some: The “Classic Controller Grip” features a enlarged grip for a better hand fit, and a Wiimote clip which includes a cable hook to prevent the controller’s wires from getting tangled up when in use. The kit is expected to come out this March for a retail price of US$ 14.99.
They’ve also got something by way of a set of rubberized battery panel sets for the Wiimote – probably to prevent more of the remote’s notorious slippages. What surprises (or is outrage a better term?) us is that aside from the selectable blue, pink and gray color sets, they never mentioned anything in default white…so much for color coordination. The “Click Grip” will also be selling this March at US$ 5.99 per pair.
