Hitman Reborn! Dream Hyper Battle is shaping to be an exciting title, or at least it is in Japan. Marvelous Interactive yet again released new images for the upcoming manga-based video game in the Japanese magazine Shonen Jump. Hitman Reborn! will be available on both the Wii and PlayStation 2 (PS2).

The manga which this game is based on is published by Shueisha’s Jump Comics imprint and is a comedy by nature. It’s about a boy named Tsuna Sawada who was chosen to become a mafia boss. Reborn is actually an assassin from Italy who teaches Tsuna all he needs to know about running the mafia. His main instrument of choice is the “Deathperation Shot.”

Dream Hyper Battle will reportedly move along the same plot line as the manga and will involve familiar characters. However, it is still unknown just how faithful the video game will be to the manga or which characters will be included. It will be released in Japan on the Wii later this year while the PS2 version should come out in August.

Marvelous Interactive has yet to make an official announcement if the game will be available in other markets.
