Another one bites the dust: Red Baron for PSN also an ActiBlizz casualty
The Red Baron was first known to have been rated by the ESRB back in April, and was later on confirmed to arrive on the PSN on September. However, there rings out an eerie absence of the game’s presence, and it’s looking like it’s also a casualty of the Activision–Vivendi merger. What gives? Find out after the jump.
If you’re wondering whatever’s happened to Red Baron of the PSN, you’re not alone. We’re asking that exact same question here. It was supposed to come out on September 18, but that date has clearly come and gone, and still, it’s nowhere to be found.
Jennifer Chong, PR rep for the game, gave out a statement confirming that the Red Baron never really finished the development for the PSN. According to her, “Sadly, Red Baron was never completed; they had to stop the project when Sierra Online was incorporated in Activision–Vivendi.”
Wow, looks like this merger really did run over more than just a couple of projects. The casualties are starting come out and pile up by the day.
You’re free to hope that another publisher will come along and pick up the remnants of what could have been a great addition to the PSN library. But until that time comes, consider this case closed: Red Baron is no more.
