Another Yakuza already in the works
North America and Europe have just gotten their cut-up versions of Yakuza 3, while the Japanese are already looking at Yakuza 4. It seems that Sega isn’t letting the franchise take a breather because the next Yakuza is already in the works.

Yakuza producer Toshihiro Nagoshi took the mic at a Yakuza 4 presscon in Japan, talked about the game, and showed a trailer for “Project K”. The video showed a young boy walking in the rain around the streets of Kamurocho, then ends with “a new challenge for the Yakuza series begins.” Text in the trailer indicate that the boy is fated for a life of crime and fighting.
Famitsu, which was right there to cover it, reports that the boy might be the game’s protagonist. Although no one’s saying anything about who that boy was, it’s possible that Project K might be about Kamurocho, or a kid Kazuma Kiryu…that’s three Ks for you right there.
