AOL Enhances Mobile Phone Services

AOL announced on Monday several improvements to its mobile service that it offers users. Through an expanded relationship with Sprint, there will be new mobile applications and enhancements that would format any page on the mobile screen. With a new “surf the web” feature, users will be able to view any web page through an automated system. The technology AOL is using comes from InfoGin, a company that specializes in mobile adaption solutions. As part of their expansion with Sprint, AOL will also be able to offer a downloadable version of the AIM messaging application not based on text messaging. This enables uses to connect directly to AIM instead of through text messages.
