App Store scores 3 billion downloads

After scoring its billionth download nine months after launch, 2 billion downloads by September, and amassing 100,000 apps in November, the App Store certainly had a fantastic 2009. And now, Apple’s online store seems to be starting the year right, reaching the 3 billion-download mark after 18 months of operation.
