Apple Ebooks and the Mac App Store are experiencing sporadic disruptions.

Apple reports outages for certain services
Apple has experienced an outage that affected some users who were trying to access Apple Books and the Mac App Store. Apple acknowledged a problem with its Mac App Store and Apple Books at 12:15 pm eastern time on Tuesday, August 27. AppleInsider staffers were able to access the services, but it is not known how widespread the outages may be. Apple has not provided a reason beyond “Users might be experiencing a service problem.” On its System Status page it states that the issue is being investigated. Apple’s other services, like iCloud, Apple Music and Maps, appear to be working as intended. AppleInsider will continue to update this post as necessary.
