Apple Maps is presently compatible with Mac’s Firefox and Edge.
Apple Maps for Firefox on MacOS
Apple Maps now works in Firefox and Edge on Mac. Initially, Apple Maps was only available for Safari, Chrome and Edge. Apple Maps was released in July after a wait of over a decade. However, it only worked with a few browsers. With a Friday update, Apple Maps is now available on a wider range of browsers. In July, the introduction included support for several popular browsers. In addition to the obvious Safari, there was also support for Chrome and Microsoft Edge, but only on PC. The update expands the support to include Firefox as a whole. Edge’s Mac version is now compatible with the map. The project is pleased with the expansion of support, as it could provide users with a viable alternative to Google Maps. The newly supported browsers offer the same level functionality as the other ones, including search, and a familiar mapping user interface, just like in the Apple Maps application. You can still generate directions to and from locations, instead of using turn-by-turn navigation. Guides, reviews, and business information are available. A future update will include a Look Around feature similar to Google Street View.
